Makeup bits and bobs

Hellooo! :)

I feel like I haven't done a makeup post in FOREVER and thought I'd share some of my favourite products that I've been using almost every day. I am a creature of habit and when I find something I like I will use it excessively. Here are some products that have tickled my fancy:P

Too Faced better than sex mascara:
This is just a sample size, but I love it! It adds so much volume to my lashes, and makes them stand out. When I don't want to wear a ton of makeup I'll just put this on and my lashes look amazing.

Nyx black retractable eyeliner and Nyx jumbo eye pencil in milk:
I usually wear the black eyeliner on my tight line. It is waterproof so it stays all day and helps define my lashline. I put the jumbo pencil on the inner corner of my eyes and blend with my finger. It makes me look more awake which is always a plus!

Naked skin bb cream by urban decay:
I just recently got the travel size of this bb cream and I have loved it so far! I hardly notice it's on my face and yet it makes my skin look so much better. It also has SPF 20 in it which is important and it is light coverage, perfect for summer! It is unfortunate though how this bb cream is only available in one shade that apparently changes to fit your skin. It works for me, but I feel if you are super pale, or a lot darker than me this wouldn't work for you.

Too Faced Chocolate soleil bronzer:
I have been using this for so long and I still love it! Personally, I prefer bronzer over blush and this one is perfect. It is matte and smells like chocolate which I love.  I don't really contour as much as I just put it everywhere to bronze up my face.

Nars Kalahari duo:
The shade I have been using non-stop is the mauvy-brown colour on the right. It is neutral and subtle, and yet so beautiful!! I usually apply it with my finger and then add a bit more with a blending brush (the sigma E40) to the crease to give it a flawless look.  The shimmery brown shade on the left is gorgeous as well, however there is some fallout and when I'm in a rush I don't have time to fuss with it.

Sigma E40 brush:
This brush is wonderful and I use it basically every time I apply eyeshadow. It is the perfect blending brush and it make everything so much easier! I kind of wish it was white though, cause it's hard to tell when it's getting dirty:P

Maybelline colour tattoo in creamy beige:
It looks darker in this picture than it actually is, but I've been using it as my primer underneath my eyeshadow, particularly the nars duo mentioned above. There are tiny shimmers in it but these are not seen when applied to the eye. It makes my eye makeup last so much longer throughout the day.

These products are basically what I use when I need to do my makeup quickly and all of them work wonerfully :)
Let me know what you favourite every day products are at the moment, and I hope you have a wonderful day!!

Urban Decay Pulp Fiction Palette

Hiiiii! :)

A few weeks ago I was browsing through Sephora online and I came across the Pulp Fiction Palette. It was on sale for $19 and so of course I had to get it and I am so glad I did. I absolutely love it!!First off I really do like the packaging. It's a nice sleek cardboard packaging with a magnetic enclosure, and it has a quote from the movie on the front.

The Palette comes with five colours:Righteous, Tyranny, Vengeance, Furious and Anger ( the last two are only half shadows). This is a matte palette, with the exception of Anger which has only the slightest shimmer. My favourite would have to Tyranny which is just such a neat brown colour. I usually only wear neutral shadows so this palette is perfect for me!

I have been using this palette so much recently, it is just fantastic. The colours are pigmented, and they blend like a dream, plus they are not chalky at all! It also comes with a dual ended brush which I actually get some use out of.

I would highly recommend this palette, it is pretty amazing! Plus it is still on sale so definitely get it while you can

Let me know if you've tried this palette and what you thought of it!
I hope you all have a lovely day

High End Beauty Wishlist

1. Urban Decay Naked 3  | 2. Dior Creme De Rose Lip Balm | 3. Naked Basics | 4. Benefit Rockateur Blush | 5. Lorac Pro Palette  | 6. Tarte Amazonian Clay Airbrush Foundation | 7. Tarte Airbuki Foundation Brush

Hiiii! :)
Over the past couple of months I have been wishing for some new beauty items. Of course I really don't NEED any of these, but makeup is just a beautiful thing and I have really been getting into it this past year and a half.

Two items that have at the top of my list are the Naked 3 palette and the Lorac Pro Palette. I do have a slight obsession with eyeshadows. I have also really been wanting to grab the Naked Basics palette as I think it is just perfect for every day. I really want to add more matte eyeshadows to my collection seeing as the majority of the ones I currently own are shimmery.

I also have a slight obsession with lip balms... I have sooo many already but the Dior creme de rose just looks amazing. It's so beautiful and luxurious.

I do not have very many blushes and so I really want to get one that I can wear every day. Benefit's Rockateur blush looks so beautiful and I have heard so many amazing things about it!

The last two items were brought to my attention by Essiebutton (Estee) . She has recently mentioned this Tarte foundation a few times in her videos, and she uses it with the Airbuki brush. I really love mineral foundations because it is very natural looking and feels like nothing is on your face. I'm all about the natural looking makeup!:P  This just looks so lovely and I feel like I would really love these two items together.

Let me know if you have any of these items or what you have been wishing for. I hope you all have a lovely day,

New Years Eve Outfit

Hiiiii :)

Yesterday my friend Sarah and I went shopping for the perfect new years eve outfit. Our friend is hosting a party with the theme A New York City New Years so I wanted something simple yet glamorous. We went to the mall, and instead of finding an outfit.... I bought some makeup.

The first thing I purchased was the Naked Palette from Urban Decay. I know I'm a bit late on this so I decided it was time I bought it. I am so incredibly excited to use it, it looks amazing!! For the party  I think I'm going to do a simple smoky eye with this palette :)
Naked palette and the Primer potion it came with

Ahh it's just so beautiful!

We also stopped by Mac because I wanted to get a lipstick for the party.

The Lipstick I decided to get was Media. It's a beautiful deep burgundy colour and I am in love with it. I also got the lip liner Currant to go with it. Together they are going to look fantastic and I can't wait!

As we were looking at the lipsticks another one caught my eye. I am really loving nude lipsticks the past couple months and when I saw Creme in Your Coffee I couldn't leave without buying it.... it was wonderful! It is a slightly darker "your lips but better" nude colour. As soon as I got home I tried it on and I instantly loved it.

I purchased eyeshadow and lipstick for the party and some other items but I didn't find a dress and we were both exhausted. We left to go home and I had no idea what I was going to wear. I decided I might as well stop at Target, after I dropped Sarah off at home,  to see if I could find anything.  And to my surprise I actually did.
I found this lovely black dress that is very comfy and flattering. Plus it has mesh inserts on the shoulders which I thought looked nice. I really wanted a peter pan collared dress (which I didn't find) so I found a collar necklace instead. I am really happy with the outfit I found.
I'm going to wear some silver bracelets as well, and paint my nails a sparkling silver. I haven't decided on the shoes yet, but I own a few pairs that will go with the outfit nicely:)
I cannot wait for tomorrow night, New Years Eve is always so exciting! And I love being able to share it with my closest friends :)

I hope you all have a lovely day and a happy new year!
