Mini Summer Haul

Hiiii! :)

As the weather us getting increasingly warmer I have come to the realization that I am seriously lacking in summer clothing. Most of my closest is aimed at autumn/spring weather. and is too warm to wear with the increasing temperatures.  The few shorts that I own either don't fit, or are super unflattering.

So in a spur of the moment decision, my friend Sarah and I went to the mall for a quick shopping trip.

I got two pairs of festival shorts and a pair of overalls, all of which are super comfy! I also got a plain white tshirt which I love. All of these were from Garage, I have been really liking their clothing recently.

They are high-waisted which is AWESOME

We also stopped at Mac.... Honestly I don't need more makeup but I couldn't resist. I got a lip liner in Whirl and the eyeshadow All That Glitters. I swatch this eyeshadow every time I go to a Mac counter, so I finally bought it. Sarah actually bought the lip liner a little while ago and I liked it so much I "needed" it:P

 I'm really pleased with what I got as I now have stuff I can actually wear! I hope you all have a wonderful day,

Lippies

When it comes to wearing lipstick I am not the bravest. I only really got into wearing it last year, and since then I have stuck (for the most part) with nudes.The past month or two I have been in love with this combination: Mac Viva Glam 2 Lipstick and Mac Cremesheen Glass in Boy Bait (I find that name very amusing:P)

     The lipstick is a satin, so it is not completely matte, and I absolutely love it. It is a browny nude colour and it's very easy to wear. For me it is the perfect "my lips but better" lipstick. On top of that I use Boy Bait which is a slightly more peachy-brown nude and it honestly feels like lip balm. It is not sticky at all. These two products together are just so amazing (they're awesome alone two :P). I would definitely recommend both! Let me know what lip combinations you enjoy,

New Years Eve Outfit

Yesterday my friend Sarah and I went shopping for the perfect new years eve outfit. Our friend is hosting a party with the theme A New York City New Years so I wanted something simple yet glamorous. We went to the mall, and instead of finding an outfit.... I bought some makeup. 

The first thing I purchased was the Naked Palette from Urban Decay. I know I'm a bit late on this so I decided it was time I bought it. I am so incredibly excited to use it, it looks amazing!! For the party  I think I'm going to do a simple smoky eye with this palette :)

We also stopped by Mac because I wanted to get a lipstick for the party. 

The Lipstick I decided to get was Media. It's a beautiful deep burgundy colour and I am in love with it. I also got the lip liner Currant to go with it. Together they are going to look fantastic and I can't wait! 

As we were looking at the lipsticks another one caught my eye. I am really loving nude lipsticks the past couple months and when I saw Creme in Your Coffee I couldn't leave without buying it.... it was wonderful! It is a slightly darker "your lips but better" nude colour. As soon as I got home I tried it on and I instantly loved it.

I purchased eyeshadow and lipstick for the party and some other items but I didn't find a dress and we were both exhausted. We left to go home and I had no idea what I was going to wear. I decided I might as well stop at Target, after I dropped Sarah off at home,  to see if I could find anything.  And to my surprise I actually did. 

I found this lovely black dress that is very comfy and flattering. Plus it has mesh inserts on the shoulders which I thought looked nice. I really wanted a peter pan collared dress (which I didn't find) so I found a collar necklace instead. I am really happy with the outfit I found.

I'm going to wear some silver bracelets as well, and paint my nails a sparkling silver. I haven't decided on the shoes yet, but I own a few pairs that will go with the outfit nicely:)

I cannot wait for tomorrow night, New Years Eve is always so exciting! And I love being able to share it with my closest friends :)
