My adorable animals

Hiiii! :)
Life is extremely stressful. There are so many challenges and obstacles to overcome. I am horrible at dealing with stress. I get upset and down on myself, and I procrastinate. I get to the point where I am so stressed about whatever there is to do that I just put it off (which of course doesn't help the situation whatsoever!).

Something that helps me get through this are my animals. If you don't have pets then you may not understand and this may seem strange to you, but having my dog and cat around helps me feel better in general. It's like they can sense when you aren't feeling the best, and they try to help. Of course my friends and family are always there for me too, but there is something about animals that is so special.

First, there is Jasper. He's a goldendoodle and I call him my "baby" (I know this is really weird but I just love him so much:P) He is kind of a sucky dog and thinks he's smaller than he is. He is always trying to sit on my lap, which is ADORABLE! I have always been a dog person and I love Jasper dearly. When we got him I was so excited and we have been inseparable since. He's so fluffy and cuddly and he follows me everywhere, it's like I have a little body guard 24/7. Plus I get the most wonderful greeting from him when I come home. He can, without a doubt, always put a smile on my face and when I'm feeling stressed or upset I just spend some time with him. He is now 4 1/2 years old and he always makes me feel better. Dogs are wonderful!

Jasper loves resting his head or paw on my leg

He loves leaf piles!

Then there is Dumbledore. Now we only got him a year ago and before that I wasn't too keen on cats. I do love all animals, but I never thought I would actually want to own a cat. I was wrong because Dumbledore (dum dum for short :P) is such an amazing cat. He is quite comical, and very loud. He meows constantly, and likes to sneakily follow me through the house. When I get home from school he will run to the door and just meow. He walks so quietly compared to Jasper that I honestly get frightened because he just appears and starts meowing! Sometimes he'll just start sprinting through the house though which makes a racket. He is kind of like a dog in some ways (he's learned from Jasper) although he doesn't like to be cuddled as much. However when I'm studying, he'll just come and lie wherever I'm doing my work (Jasper does this as well). His fur is so soft and him and Jasper both looove belly rubs!
ignore the spider web on his head :P
Dum Dum wanted to help me study for Ecology :P

I am just so thankful that I have these animals in my life. Of course I am extremely thankful for my family and friends as well, but having such loving pets is such an incredible thing. It's amazing how much of an impact they have on your life without uttering a word.

And they actually get along :)

I realize this post got a little sappy and I apologize, but I just love my animals so much! :)
I hope you all have a wonderful day,

Beautiful Nature

Hiiii! :)

Today was absolutely gorgeous (well it rained early in the morning but that cleared up quickly). The sun was shining, it was the perfect temperature and it was jut wonderful being outside! This afternoon I decided to just enjoy the nice weather and read on my porch with my dog. I actually finished reading The Last Song a couple hours ago and I really liked it, although the last few chapters are very emotional.  Personally I like it a lot better than the movie but that's what usually happens. :)

As I sat on my porch I just put my book down for a bit and enjoyed the scenery. There was actually quite a lot of activity on this particular day. There has been a coyote near my house the past few weeks and it made another appearance today. My dog tried to run after it, but thankfully the coyote was beyond my dog's electric fence line. They had a little stare down but when I grabbed Jasper the coyote got scared and ran away.

Sorry it's a bit blurry, he was kind of trotting away but here is the coyote
The coyote was definitely the biggest animal I saw today, but I got to see so many other wonderful creatures as well:

We have a few bird feeders and I love seeing all the pretty birds that come to visit!

This was a baby bunny that wandered onto our lawn, but he ran off before I got too close
There were even cute ducks in the creek beside our house
Jasper enjoyed the nice weather too!
Today was such a wonderful day. It was nice to be able to sit outside and just enjoy nature. As you can probably tell from previous blog posts, I do enjoy being outside. It's just so peaceful and it's nice to be able to slow down every now and then.
I hope you all had a wonderful day, feel free to leave any thoughts you may have below!

Off to the Vet!

Hiii! :)

This morning was quite eventful as I had to take my kitty to the vet for a shot. Now I am 100% a dog person, and I have a dog named Jasper whom I love with all my heart, but I am starting to like cats too now that I actually have one.  He is 10 months old, his name is Dumbledore (Yes I know... I just love Harry Potter :P) and he is just the fluffiest, cutest cat ever!

This is his 2rd visit to the vet and all I can say is that he really does not like it at all! Instead of a crate, he has a leash which we are still trying to get him used to.
He still does not love it, and so I had to trap him in a little room this morning just to get it on! Eventually we were ready to leave but he was so noisy the whole car ride.

Now he doesn't actually shed that much which is nice, but when I take him to the vet the shedding is insane!! His fur just goes everywhere because he is so stressed. I had to carry him in instead of letting him walk because there were a few dogs at the vet as well, so I got a bunch of his fur in my face. I am also now sporting some lovely scratches in the neck region... thanks a bunch Dumbledore! But this visit was actually a lot better than the first time I brought him.

I think he was tired when I brought him home because he just went off on his own and had a little rest. I also think he was a tad traumatized and just wanted to get away from me before I could take him on another car ride.
Someone's tired!
They love this spot in my room!

Although it is such a hassle taking him to the vet, it was kinda fun, and he is just such a cutie!! I just absolutely adore all animals, especially my own pets and I love them both so much!!
I hope you all have a wonderful day,
