Hot pink!

Hiiiii! :)
Sorry I haven't really blogged recently but I went away with my family for a week to a cottage. It was a lovely vacation, and I'm sad it had to end. Although it is nice getting to sleep in my own bed.
Anyways,  I have FINALLY painted my nails again. I actually have had nothing on my nails for like two weeks so I decided I should put something on. I chose a really bright pink colour. It's Zoya's Lola, and it is just such a gorgeous colour!

Plus I got a new ring today as well which I am quite pleased with:P
Well that is all for now, I hope you all have a fantastic day!

Pretty in Pink

Hiiii! :)
I want to share with you a certain lipstick that I have been loving for the past little while.
I did not  actually start wearing lipstick until a few months ago, and so it is probably no surprise that I am not yet comfortable wearing very bold colours (unless it's for a special occasion). I prefer to stick with softer coloured lipsticks that I can wear for outings such as shopping with my friends or going out for lunch. A few months ago I purchased the Lasting Finish by Kate Moss Lipstick (Rimmel London) in 103.

It is a gorgeous pink matte colour and I have worn it sooooo much in May and June. It is just perfect for me. It's not a scary/bold shade but it isn't so soft that you can't see it. I also like the fact that it is not glittery, it's more of just an every day lipstick. A bonus is that it is a drugstore lipstick so it isn't expensive :)
I apologize for the awful lighting!

The staying power of this lipstick is awesome , and it is very pigmented. I do however find that it can be drying so I usually put a bit of lip balm on before I use it.
It is just so pretty and I love wearing it. If you are looking for a good, cheap lipstick I would definitely recommend these Rimmel London Kate Moss ones!
I hope you all have a lovely day!

Cool Stripes

Hiiii! :)
I was a little bored this afternoon so I decided to do my nails again, but instead of just painting them normally I wanted to try something different. About a year ago I bought a cheap pack of paint brushes to use on my nails. Normally I just used the thinner ones to make simple designs, but I recently came across a nail design that uses a fan brush. One of those brushes came in the pack I bought but I didn't know what to use it for so I just ignored it. When I finally found something I could use it for I was very excited.
Fan Brush
Pacific Blue, Mint Sorbet and Pink Lingerie
First, I did the base coat in Sally Hansen's Mint Sorbet, and then the horizontal stripes were done in Sally Hansen's Pacific Blue and Revlon's Pink Lingerie. I simply dipped the fan brush into the pink first and swiped across horizontally from the left and right side of the nail. I then did this with the blue polish.
The good thing about this is that it's so easy to do and it looks sick! I'm glad that I gave it a go and I will definitely be trying this design with different colours.
Feel free to leave any thoughts below  and I hope you all have a fantastic day! :)

Manicure Monday

Hiiii :)

Since today is Monday, I think it is only fitting that I show you my newly painted nails. Once again it is nothing special, I just think they are pretty and want to share them with you! I actually painted them last night, but let's just pretend I did them this morning ;)

Before I did my nails this time I used a sugar hand scrub from Bath and Body Works that I haven't had a chance to use yet. It smells so wonderful! I am awful at describing scents but here goes.... it was very sweet and I believe it is like a grapefruit scent. It's just s delicious, plus it made my hands feel very soft! I like it a lot and will definitely use it a lot!
I love watching movies when I do my nails, so my sister and I watched Enchanted. I hadn't seen it in a while and  I forgot how cute it is! I felt inclined while watching this film to paint my nails like a princess. This means sparkles and pretty colours.  I decided to paint my nails a shimmery gold colour with a thin sparkly pink layer on top. These two polishes combined create a rose gold colour that is really lovely. It looks very pretty in the sun as the light captures the shimmer and sparkles. I used Sally Hansen's "Golden-I" with OPI's "Teenage Dream" (Katy Perry).

I was pleased with the final result, and it was nice to finally paint my nails since it had been a while! Of course after I took this picture I ruined some of the nails not long after but what can you do!! :)
I hope you all have a lovely day wherever you may be!

Cute As A Button

Hiii:)
I have this little obsession with nail polish that usually begins every spring and lasts until school begins again. I absolutely love buying all the different colours and painting my nails. I think my nail painting skills have definitely improved with the amount that I paint them :) I tend not to do my nails as often in the winter months because school, hockey and other activities keep me busy and there is simply not enough time. Although I love doing my nails it is a tedious task as I hate waiting for them to dry. I always seem to chip them not long after as well which is kind of my own fault!

Anyways, today I did my nails and I wanted to share it with you as the colour I used is one of my favourites at the moment.
There are two colours on my nails at the moment but the pinky coral one is my favourite. I hadn't had a chance to try the white one and I figured these colours went nicely together. I wouldn't really call the white nail polish "sparkly" but there is a definite shimmer in it. It didn't really turn up great in the picture although the second picture captures it a bit. I do really like this one as well but the coral is just amazing! Every time I wear it someone compliments me on it. It lasts for a good amount of time and I think it is perfect for this season. I just got it about a month or two ago and I have already worn it three times. I just think it is soooo pretty:)
The pink-coral colour is called "cute as a button" (essie) and the shimmery white is "It's All About the Glam"(Nicole by OPI). These nail polishes can be expensive sometimes but I was able to get both of these on sale at a very good price. I am very happy with both of these polishes.
Feel free to leave any thoughts below, and I hope you all have a wonderful day! :)
